TWO Barnsley bus drivers have won awards in an industry competition.
Joel Musgreave, of Cudworth, won a trophy and £100 after finishing in third place in Stagecoach’s 2015 Bus Driver of the Year local eliminator.
As part of the competition, the drivers took part in a multiple choice questionnaire before completing manoeuvring challenges around bollards and cones.
Joel said: “It was fantastic to be recognised at the Bus Driver of the Year competition. We have a brilliant team of drivers so I was delighted to pick up third prize.”
Bob Pitts, of Mapplewell, also received a special certificate and medal after clocking up 35 years of accident free bus driving as part of the Safe Driving Awards Scheme.
Bob said: “I take pride in doing a great job for my customers. Safety and reliability is an incredibly important part of this job and I’m honoured to receive this award.”
