BARNSLEY market traders have attended a number of awareness sessions in a bid to help the community become more dementia friendly.

Richard Brocklehurst who is a Dementia Action Alliance co-ordinator in Barnsley delivered the sessions.

The programme focuses on what it’s like to be living with dementia and the problems people suffering from the disease may face.

It's hoped that these kinds of sessions will mean people living with dementia can remain in the community longer and live well with the condition.
