THOUSANDS of people are expected to flock to Penistone Agricultural Show this year.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 12 on a 70 acre show ground in the heart of the town’s rural community.
Show Manager Nicholas Hoyland said: "We’d love to see some new visitors this year too. Even after all this time, lots of people aren’t aware what a fantastic rural celebration is just on their doorstep."
The 143rd show, will see more than 160 sheep, 80 pigs and 50 goats and, as well as poultry, horses and cattle, enter to compete for the best in show title.
There will also be show jumping, live music, dog shows, arts and crafts and vintage vehicle displays.
More than 200 trade stands, artisan craft, food and drink suppliers plus charity stalls will add to the event.
