THE first festival of food is coming to town and local chefs are being asked to come and show off their culinary skills.
There will be demonstration kitchen providing a space for chefs to show how to cook some of their favourite dishes.
This is an opportunity for restaurants to promote their business and to prove that Barnsley has some amazing cooking talent.
Each restaurant that takes part will have their dish featured on a recipe sheet, along with the ingredients and where to buy them on the market.
The festival is being organised by Barnsley Council and is part of the Love Your Local Market campaign. It takes place from September 16 to 19.
