BARNSLEY councillors were given a tour of a new business park this week which is set to create more than 450 new jobs.

Harworth Estates’ Gateway 36 will see the creation of modern, high quality, flexible business space ideal for companies wanting to locate to the M1 corridor north of Sheffield.

It has been financially supported by Barnsley Council’s property investment fund.

Coun Steve Houghton and Coun Roy Miller were shown around the first phase of the development.

Work began in March and the steel shells of building construction are now visible.
