STUDENTS from Barnsley College have been praised at the seventh annual Barnsley College Excellence Awards recently.
The ceremony held at Barnsley Metrodome saw 27 awards presented for outstanding achievement.
During the evening the overall achievement winner was chosen by the students who had won an award.
Laura-Jane Mirfin, 18, of Cudworth, who is an electrical engineering student, took home the overall award. She impressed with her dedication and enthusiasm for engineering.
Barnsley College Principal Colin Booth, who will be leaving in September, said: “As always, our awards evening was a fantastic way to celebrate the amazing achievements of our students over the past year."
