WORK has started on a 11 acre site in Penistone to build 139 homes.

Persimmon Homes in West Yorkshire plan to build Hartcliff Meadows which will feature a mixture of three, four and five bedroom homes.

Sales Director Simon Whalley said: “This is an exciting new development in an attractive town which is close to major road networks, cities and towns and has the beauty of the spectacular Peak District scenery nearby.

“To reflect the scenic backdrop of Hartcliff Meadows each of the properties will feature a stone-effect fronted exterior. There is a feature walled entrance with an abundant of open spaces throughout the development.”

Schemes will be available to help buyers move, including the government backed Help to Buy, Persimmon’s Part Exchange and Home Change packages.

The company's sales team will be on hand from the end of August and are working towards winter completions.
