POLICE are investigating after a window was smashed at a home in the Rookery View area of Sheffield Road in Barnsley.

Two strangers were reportedly in someone's garden on Rookery View at around 2.35am on June 24. A window was smashed but no property taken.

Officers carried out a search of the area but did not find those responsible.

WABer Steven Skelly, of Rookery View, said that he woke up at around 4am on June 24 and noticed his gate had been opened along with the door to his garden room. Fortunately nothing had been taken.
