BARNSLEY is preparing for this year's Yorkshire in Bloom competition judging.

Judge Martin Fish from the North of England Horticultural Society will be visiting Carlton Marsh Nature Reserve, Robert Street Community Allotment, Cudworth Environmental Group/Cudworth Park, Wilthorpe in Bloom/Wilthorpe Park and the Friends of Locke Park on Wednesday, July 8.

The following day judge Paul Martin from Sheffield Botanics will be visiting Oxspring Primary School, Queens Road Academy, the Friends of Monk Bretton Park and the Friends of Thurnscoe Park.

On Wednesday, July 15, judges Melvyn Riley and Andy Mumford from Sheffield City Council will be visiting Barnsley Town Centre.

The final visit will see judge Paul Marshall from Calderdale will be visiting Elsecar Park, Cannon Hall and Tankersley Manor on Thursday, July 16.
