THE winner has been announced of this year's Barnsley in Bloom poster competition.
Over 500 posters were received from children in Barnsley's junior, primary and infant schools, making it the highest amount of entries so far.
After much deliberation the Barnsley in Bloom committee picked their winner - Liberty Jean Cummings, 10, from Carlton Primary Academy.
The competition was split into two age categories, seven and under and eight to 11-year-olds.
The runner up in the eight to 11-year-old category was Jake Fisher, 9, from Hunningley Primary School. Runner up in the seven and under category was Lukasz Kosaelny, 4, from Silkstone Primary School.
The Mayor’s favourite went to Abigail Seymour, 6, from Hoylandswaine Primary School.
