Businesses encouraged to get involved with Mayor's Parade

BUSINESSES are being encouraged to get involved in this year's Mayor's Parade, with the theme Barnsley by the Sea.

It is a great free way of advertising while joining in with the fun the parade brings to the town centre.

Those entering are encouraged to embrace the theme, although people are welcome to use their own ideas and imagination.

Coun Roy Miller said: "The Mayor’s Parade is always a fantastic event. It is a brilliant way for businesses and groups to show their creativity and also raise awareness of what they do."

The annual Mayor’s Parade is taking place on Saturday, July 11. Entry forms are available by emailing matthewmitchell@barnsley.gov.uk.
