A MOTHER is fundraising for a safe space at her son's primary school for children with additional needs.
Teresa Beckham's son, Harry, has autism and global development delay.
He attends St Helen's Primary Academy in Monk Bretton, with over 50 children who also have additional needs.
A safe space provides a low stimulation area for pupils to calm down or have quiet time. It could also be used as a chill out space and sensory room.
Teresa said: "His school are fantastic. The safe space isn't just for my son but for the many like him already there and the many more they will take in over the years."
