A BARNSLEY bakery has invested £20 million on new equipment which means it can produce over 300 million Mr Kipling cake slices a year.
Manor Bakeries has invested in a new production and packing line which has allowed it to double capacity.
And it is also flying the flag for apprentices by setting up a new engineering training centre at its Fish Dam Lane factory, Carlton.
The factory, once the biggest bakery in the world, covers a huge area - about the size of 40 football pitches.
