A TEAM of family and friends will take part in a five-day bike ride in memory of a Royston woman who lost her life to cancer.
Jill Durham, 50, died in November 2013 after battling lung cancer. Husband Jonathan, daughter Katie, son Ben, friends Brian Beavon and David Miller and Katie's fiance Paul Finch all start their journey on Monday.
They are tackling Wainwright's 230-mile coast-to-coast route from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Jonathan said: "I was down in the dumps after Jill's passing so cycling gave me something to do. The idea started from there so we are all excited about the ride.
"I know she will be looking down and laughing at us."
