A PENSIONER who was knocked unconscious after being punched in the face by an unknown thug is recovering from his attack.
The man, 66, was attacked as he left the Sportsman Inn on Pitt Street, Darfield.
As he walked along George Street in Darfield, he was approached by an unknown man who allegedly punched him in the face repeatedly.
The man was knocked unconscious and suffered two black eyes and a broken nose.
The unknown attacker is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall with dark coloured hair, which was brushed back.
He was wearing a green padded jacket.
