A BARNSLEY pensioner had to be given oxygen after escaping a fire in her home.
The woman - in her 70s - was treated by fire crews after her cooker caught fire.
Tankersley, Cudworth and Barnsley firefighters attended the incident on High Street, Worsborough at around 10.30am on Thursday.
The woman was given a precautionary check up by paramedics at the scene.
Crews used specialist equipment to ventilate the property following the fire.
