BARNSLEY College has become the first in the country to develop its own crowdfunding site to help students source investors to get their business ideas of the ground.
BCKickstart is a project run by the college offering students an opportunity to raise funds for a range of business ideas and projects.
Rubina Rashid, Head of Enterprise at Barnsley College, said: "It can be very hard for new businesses to get off the ground but this new crowdfunding platform will give our entrepreneurial students both financial help and a brilliant confidence boost when they see that other people are keen to support them."
