BARNSLEY MP Dan Jarvis has said "it’s time we reclaimed our town" after plans have been announced to ban all legal highs.
The government have announced they will bring forward legislation that will ban the sale of legal highs.
Mr Jarvis said: "Not only have residents and shopkeepers had to put up with users collapsing, vomiting and urinating in the streets at all times of day and night, but the trade in legal highs from shops such as Smokey Sam's has also attracted other drug dealers into the area."
The MP welcomed the government announcement and said that he would continue to work with the council and police to clamp down on anti social behaviour.
