A TWO MINUTE silence will be observed in the town centre on Friday to mark the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.
Mayor Coun Tim Shepherd will lead the two minute silence in fronf of the war memorial at the town hall from 3pm.
He said: “It will be a wonderful opportunity for us to pay tribute to all those that contributed and reflect on the sacrifices made for our country."
