POLICE were called after a man accidentally fell into the river near Asda.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Old Mill Lane at around 11.40am on Saturday.
A spokesman said: "A 25-year-old man had fallen into the river.
"He was taken to hospital to be check over but not believed to have any injuries."
