A NEW bus service has been launched for out-of-town students commuting to and from Barnsley.
The free return service - which will collect students from various areas in Rotherham and Sheffield - has been introduced by Barnsley College.
It hopes to give students from outside the district the opportunity to study in the town without having to worry about the cost of travel.
The bus service will pick up students from Kimberworth, Thorpe Hesley, Ecclesfield, Chapeltown and High Green and at stops within Barnsley in Birdwell and Worsbrough in a morning and return after lessons finish.
Louise Simpson, head of student services, said: "This new service allows students to study at an outstanding college without travel expenses being a barrier."
