POLICE have appealed for information after two men abandoned a car following a collision.

The crash, on Cross Lane, Royston, resulted in two walls and a gate being knocked down.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of an RTC at around 4.30pm on February 16.

"It was reported that two men abandoned a silver Citroen Xsara at the scene after the car hit a lamp post, demolishing two walls and a gate.

"Enquiries are still ongoing into identifying the two males who abandoned the vehicle."

It's thought the offenders ran off in the direction of Calder Avenue. One of the men is described as approximately 20 years old, wearing a hoodie with short grey hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 703 of February 16.
