A PARENT and child escaped unharmed from a fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Firefighters responded to a call for help after the smell of smoke was noticed in a house on Upper Hoyland Road, Hoyland, at 1.45am.
Burning electrics had generated the smoke.
