CONTRACTORS have finally started working on building a new Aldi store.
The retailer's plans for Barnsley Road, Cudworth, were approved by planning officers in September 2013.
The store will create up to 30 full and part-time jobs, and a further 200 jobs during its construction.
The majority of the site has been vacant since 1990, following the demolition of the former council offices. There will be a total of 77 car parking spaces.
Coun Joe Hayward said all three councillors were in support of the scheme.
