NEW Barnsley boss Lee Johnson has vowed his side will play "attacking and attractive" football in the Reds' new era.

The 33-year-old, who replaces Danny Wilson, left fellow League One club Oldham to move to Oakwell and he takes his first game in charge against in-form Gillingham on Saturday.

He said: "I feel like I am the perfect fit for this club. We will play attractive, attacking football while being organised and disciplined.

"We will work with the academy and won't sign journeymen who get in the way of young players' progress.

"Attention to detail and hard work is a big part of my coaching philosophy.

"I hope I will bring workrate and that my values and personality will fit in well with the town, its history and its people."
