A BARNSLEY school is celebrating after achieving a positive report from Ofsted.
The Forest Academy, in Kendray, was labelled 'good' by the education watchdog in its first inspection since converting to an academy.
The report highlighted its 'outstanding leadership', a significant rise in pupils’ achievement and a 'highly improved' quality of teaching.
Principal Sam Bailey also came in for praise, with the report adding her 'exceptional' leadership has transformed the school since she joined last September.
Sam said: "I'm delighted the Ofsted team recognised the wonderful children and families we serve.
"It's my privilege to lead such a fantastic community and I'm fully motivated achieving our next step, which is to bring an outstanding school to our community."
