A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At around 3.15am, a silver Ford Mondeo was travelling along Pitt Street, Wombwell, in the direction of Station Road when it was in collision with a parked vehicle before mounting the pavement and colliding with a lamppost.
A 23-year-old male passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 23-year-old male driver of the vehicle and a 22-year-old female passenger were also taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or the manner of driving prior to the collision.
