BARNSLEY Football Club have offered to refund their fans the price of a match ticket after they were thrashed 5-1 by strugglers Crawley on Saturday.
The Reds, who ended Danny Wilson's second spell as manager earlier in the week, conceded four goals in the second half.
Caretaker boss Mark Burton told fans that there will be a "positive" reaction in the next clash against Crewe.
A club statement read: "All at Barnsley FC share the fans distress at the team’s performance at Crawley. The sentiments expressed by Mark Burton after the game were entirely appropriate.
"As a consequence the board has decided that it will refund the ticket price for each Barnsley FC fan attending the game at Crawley."
Further information will be provided this week.
