STAFF and customers at Barnsley town centre's KFC had to be evacuated after a fire.
Three fire engines from Barnsley, Cudworth and Tankersley were called to the Peel Street fast-food restaurant at 7.10pm on February 10.
The crews used dry powder to extinguish the fire - caused by an oven - and fans to clear the smoke.
They left around an hour later.
