A BARNSLEY lad whose grandfather was a huge fan of TV show Bargain Hunt won a place on the programme - only a day after his granddad died.
Former nightclub bouncer Nathan Rimmington, 22, of Princess Street, Wombwell, will appear on the show with his pal and fellow former bouncer Jamie Hastelow, 32, of Dobie Street, Barnsley.
Nathan, who now works as a school bus driver, said: "My granddad,Derek Cooper, loved the show. When I told him I had applied to go on it he couldn't stop laughing.
"I never thought we'd be chosen to get on, I mean what do two bouncers know about antiques?
"But at the audition we went down a storm. It's a pity he didn't get to see the episode - he would have loved it."
