THE steel frame on Barnsley College's new sixth form campus is now complete.
Barnsley-manufactured steel is forming the frame of the building, which was made by Billington Structures in Wombwell.
The next steps will involve putting up external walls and working on internal features of the building including floors and ceilings.
The £18 million campus, on St Mary’s Place, is due to open during the 2015/16 academic year and will provide a first-class learning environment for A-evel students from South Yorkshire and beyond.
Jason Pink, from site contractor BAM construction, said: "Construction is going very well and we're on target to complete the internal finishes over the coming weeks.
"The building is really starting to take form now that the frame is complete."
