FOURTEEN Barnsley fans will appear at court charged with violent disorder later this month.

It follows violent clashes in Burslem town centre and outside Vale Park involving Barnsley and Port Vale fans on September 20.

Chief executive Ben Mansford said the police bill for last Saturday's corresponding fixture between the pair was more than £17,000.

It was also an all-ticket affair due to past trouble.

Those charged from Barnsley who will appear before magistrates in Newcastle are:
