POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward following a life-threatening collision at the weekend.

At around 4.45am on Sunday morning, it's reported that a silver Vauxhall Vectra was travelling along the A633 Warren Vale from Swinton.

Approximately 300m from the junction with the B6090 Wentworth Road, it's reported that the Vectra left the road and was in collision with some trees.

The 27-year-old man driver was taken to hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, where his condition is described as stable.

Witnesses to the collision should call 101 quoting incident number 221 of February 8.
