A WEATHER warning remains in place until tonight.
Heavy snow hit Barnsley later than expected, causing traffic on multiple roads during the morning's rush hour.
It's expected to continue until this evening, with the Met Office's warning remaining in place until midnight.
A spokesperson said: "Today will be cold and breezy with scattered wintry showers, which could be rather heavy at times."
