A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy has been left with serious injuries after he was struck by a motorcycle.

At around 7.10pm on January 27, a black Aprilia scooter was travelling along Merrill Road, Thurnscoe, when it was in collision with the youngster who had just got out of a taxi.

He was taken to hospital with leg and head injuries, which are described as serious.

The collision occurred near the junction of Beach Lea.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 787 of January 27 with information.
