A LATE strike condemned Barnsley to a 1-0 defeat in the South Yorkshire derby against Doncaster.
Having been on top, the home side made the breakthrough with just six minutes to go when Harry Forrester dispossessed Mason Holgate before curling a fine shot into the top corner.
The Reds - who only managed one shot on target in the game - had teenager Holgate sent off in the closing moments for a foul on Nathan Tyson.
The result leaves Danny Wilson's side just three points above the relegation zone.
He said: "We had the threat there. We were overloading them at the back and in midfield but the ball didn't get delivered. That's what we've got to work at."
