A BARNSLEY shopping centre has handed over thousands of pounds to the hospital's Tiny Hearts Appeal.
The Alhambra has thrown its support behind the £1 million fundraising drive for a new special care baby unit.
Steph Higham, marketing manager at the Alhambra, said: "The team like to pick a charity to support every year and given the great work the hospital does, we hope that our donations will help them continue to do so and help the Tiny Hearts appeal with its new baby unit.
"We are yet again choosing to support the Tiny Hearts appeal this year and hope to raise lots more for charity through our planned fundraising initiatives as 2015 develops."
Steve Wragg, chairman of the board of trustees of Barnsley Hospital Charity, added: "On behalf of the charity I would like to thank the Alhambra and all its fundraisers for their support last year.
"To hear that we have their continued support into 2015 is very much appreciated and we look forward to working with Steph and her team on lots of exciting activities."
