Motorists Told To Expect Delays For Five Weeks

MOTORISTS in Barnsley have been warned to expect delays after major roadworks were announced.

Works to the A6133 Park Road between Locke Avenue and Middlesex Street are due to begin on Monday and will take approximately five weeks to complete.

The works will be carried out using temporary traffic signal control. Some side road closures may be implemented as the works progress with local diversions being in place as and when required.

A spokesperson said: "Access to properties will be maintained throughout the duration of the works and every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum."
