A 16-YEAR-OLD girl is in hospital with serious injuries following a hit and run on Huddersfield Road.
The car did not stop at the scene and police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have been in the area between 9.45pm and 10.15pm, to please come forward.
At approximately 9.50pm, the girl is believed to have been crossing Huddersfield Road when she was in collision with a dark-coloured car travelling along the road, away from town towards Barugh Green, close to the junction with Queens Drive.
The girl is now in a stable condition in hospital, however her injuries were assessed as life-threatening when she was first taken in.
