A BARNSLEY woman confined to a wheelchair through terminal cancer walked down the aisle and had her dream wedding.

Friends, relatives and strangers raised about £3,500 to help give Jamie Lea Jepson the wedding she has always wanted in a flurry of fundraising activities.

The 25-year-old married her fiancé Gareth Harrison, 31, at Barnsley Town Hall on Friday.

She was also told that her tumour had shrunk following radiotherapy treatment.

Jamie, of Birkwood Avenue, Cudworth, said: "It's only shrunk a tiny bit but it's better than the tumour growing or staying the same, and it's better than expected.

"It still won't be curable, but it might give me a bit longer to live.

"I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped out and made our wedding a fantastic day.

"I'm so happy. I got my perfect dream man Gareth Harrison and I feel so lucky and special."
