COUNCIL house rents in Barnsley are set to rise.
Council tenants face an increase of 2.2 per cent if the plan, which is based on the government's rent setting policy, is approved by a meeting of the full council on February 5.
The council say the increase is significantly lower than last year's average increase of £4.66, and will keep rents at an affordable level.
