THIRTY jobs have been saved after the owner of a Barnsley care home went into administration.

When Choice Healthcare Ltd went into administration on December 18, TLC Homecare Ltd were able to step in and safeguard the employment of over 30 employees and over 60 elderly service users at the Oaks Lane site.

Working in partnership with the council, TLC were able to guarantee all wage payments to staff and ensure service continuity at the busiest time of the year for a care service.

Richard Walker, managing director, said: "To be able to reassure affected care workers and the vulnerable people receiving care that we would ensure consistency of service and importantly wages and jobs was hugely satisfying.
