POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Barnsley.
People are being sought following the collision which happened on Chapel Lane, Penistone, on January 2.
A Nissan Note was travelling along Mortimer Road and turning right into Chapel Lane when it hit the female at around 4.30pm.
The woman suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital for treatment.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.
