MOTORISTS have been advised that major roadworks on two town centre roads are due to start.
February 14 will see works commence for approximately two weeks on the A628 Dodworth Road between Town End roundabout, Alma Street and Shambles Street, from Town End roundabout to Peel Parade.
Dodworth Road will operate on a one-way system between February 14-21 and 23-27 with full closures on the 22nd and March 1.
Shambles Street will also undergo a full closure on the same days.
A council statement read: "Both diversion routes will be signed. Some side road closures may be implemented as the works progress with local diversions being in place as and when required.
"Access to properties will be maintained throughout the duration of the works and every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum."
