THE police are investigating after reports of a person deliberately scratching parents' cars near a Barnsley school.
A £500 reward has been offered for the identification of the person responsible, after several cars were damaged whilst parked on Colster Close at Gawber Primary.
One parent, David Fisher, has claimed the damage may have been done by someone objecting to parents parking there at school times.
A spokesman for the police said: "Police are currently investigating a number of reports of criminal damage in Velvet Wood Close (off Colster close) near to Gawber Primary School.
"It is reported that several cars parked on the street have been damaged. Enquiries are ongoing."
