POLICE have appealed for witnesses after an 84-year-old was hit by a car.
It's reported that a silver Volkswagen Passat was travelling along Sheffield Road towards Worsbrough at around 1.45pm on Friday.
Near to the junction with Taylor Row, the Passat was in collision with an 84-year-old female pedestrian.
The woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 431 of December 12.
