A PUPIL caught selling anti-depressants as 'happy pills' has been expelled.

Several other pupils were also excluded over their involvement and police attended Barnsley Academy last Thursday.

A spokesman for the school said: "We have zero tolerance of any inappropriate behaviour that could be deemed to be linked to drugs.

"Like all good schools, we will take the firmest action against any student who breaks these rules and will liaise with the relevant authorities as to any further action they may wish to take."
