A COUPLE who divorced after 21 years have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary - for the second time.
Saturday marked the first year since Neville and Barbara Pearce, of Cockerham Lane, Barnsley, married in Gawber after 35 years apart.
Barbara, 79, and Neville, 81, have known each other since 1953. They married in 1956 but divorced in 1977.
But they found love again following the death of Neville's second wife, also called Barbara, in 2012.
Barbara said: "The wedding was a really lovely day. It's more simple now. We've realised as we've both got older that we would do things differently.
"We get along and don't argue. There aren't the same strains as before."
