POLICE have appealed for information after a woman was reportedly assaulted in Barnsley town centre.
A cordon was put in place on Monday afternoon as officers investigated the incident which is alleged to have happened near Eldon Street at around 2am on November 30.
Specialist officers are providing support to the victim and the investigation is ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: "Police are still making enquires as part of the investigation. Anyone who may have been in the area at the time is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident number 136 of November 30."
