ANGRY parents have blasted the council - after it placed safety concrete bollards at the wrong exit of a school.
Coun Roy Miller said the bollards, which have been put in place at Shafton Primary Academy, have been carried out by a developer as part of planning consent for building alterations at the school.
He said: "Traffic bollards have been positioned along the school frontage to give pupils a safe walkway from the building entrance to the location of the school crossing patrol officer.
"The newly-placed bollards give children protection from indiscriminate parking which occurs on the wide footway at the front of the building."
But angry parents have said they've been put where children don't even cross the road.
Coun Miller added: "We will be in discussion with the school regarding their new plans, with the view to possibly moving the bollards to cover another entrance."
